About me
Scot Smith worked as a school librarian for almost 27 years before he changed careers and joined the faculty at UT's School of Information Sciences. Scot served in various capacities for the Volunteer State Book Award for many years and has read for numerous committees and juries for the American Library Association. He is currently reading for the Graphic Novel and Comics Roundtable's list for the best comics for children. Given the choice of spending on social media or reading Comics, he will always choose the comic. He lives in historic Oak Ridge, Tennessee with his wife (a school librarian), their daughter, and two malevolent felines.
